Black Freedman essays The summer of 1865 was a jovial time for slaves, as they were finally granted freedom. Many went to find their families they lost when they came to America, while others stayed on the plantations and continued working for their owners. However, the contentment quickly turned to fear and despair as the freedman realized they didnt have anything or anywhere to go. Everything and nothing had changed, claimed Nash. (496). The former slaves had no money, and no education, the only way of life they knew of was working in these unjust conditions. This marked the beginning of reconstruction, as Johnson came into presidency. He formulated a plan, known as the thirteenth amendment to eradicate slavery, cancel secession, disclaim all debts, and to designate new members of congress. However, congress felt differently about Johnsons goal of reconstruction and checked the situation in the south, they found mistreatment of blacks and total chaos. Despite, the unfair conditions the freedman still ha d hope for their security against the whites that terrorized them, the right to own land, to get an education, and to participate in politics. Reconstruction was an intense time for blacks as they fought for their divine, equal rights in a predominantly white, protestant-controlled world. Even though at the end of reconstruction the freedman did not achieve their foremost objectives, but they still possessed their freedom. Black codes were passed to provide the freedmen with some privileges. For instance, they could marry within their own race, they had the right to testify in court, and to own property. However, the blacks were not allowed to ride railways, own guns or firearms, have alcoholic beverages, be seen at night, and travel in large groups. I made the executive decision that people don’t make book choices from 15 feet away, they usually walk right up to it and see whether they want it.A brief background around how this thing came into being: The Perfect Capital is a piece of literary fiction. It’s about one woman’s quest to find the perfect letter form of the typographer Eric Gill (1882-1940). So the story weaves in that character’s artistic discoveries, which looks at Eric Gill’s real-life inscriptions in London. This is woven into the other side of the story line where an old-fashioned character (Maud) falls in with the most imperfect man (Edward). The fiction and narrative is based in Gill himself: I took the perfect artist and put him in one character; and then I put the other part of Gill as a highly imperfect man into another character.That was originally where I was going to leave it†¦ What I didn’t re alise was going to happen was put perfectly by Beatrice Ward who said that â€Å"Either the whole man comes up, or else the tweezers slip†. It was everything or nothing. I absolutely experienced that in my relationship, so I found myself unable to pick and choose. I was writing the design brief for the book and the book when I knew I was going to be self-publishing it, the book literally appeared fully formed in my head. Whilst I did need to find a designer and a printer, I actually never needed to submit that brief because I knew exactly what I wanted, I just needed to find the people to make it happen.Talk us through the thought process of making the bookThe nice thing is that although I ended up making something special, I never decided to make something special: I didn’t sit down and say â€Å"this is going to be a really beautiful book†. My only decision was to make a book that was absolutely right for my story. The study found that adolescents reported a higher autonomy in their environment than academic behaviors and autonomous environmental motivation was higher in older than younger students. The study has certain limitations as all the samples were from a suburban, French-speaking middle-class white student. The sample was in very small scale to be precisely it is only 126 students. The findings say that the youth have better environmental behavior but increasing alienation from school. Obesity is a long-term complex condition Obesity is a long-term complex condition which has become a worry for many people in our culture nowadays and it is important to obtain and realizing of what obesity is. According to Wlardlow (Journal of the Hela, 2000, vol. 7) obesity is defined as a condition characterized by excess body fat and also defined as being 20% above the average weight. Generally increase consumption of foods high in fats and sugars may lead to obesity. According to research, we all have and require fat tissue in our bodies. Employers do not give efforts for the physical activities and most hold jobs that involve minimal physical labor especially at work places. If people do not practice enough exercise due to the use of cars instead of walking. For example, lack of movement due to demand for watching TV and playing video games rather than engaged in playing different sports. Besides, eating habits include the spreading of the fast food which contain high amount of fat and calories and changing environment has widened food options and eating habits. for example, Shelves in the supermarkets are stocked with a greater selection of foods, soft drinks, fast food restaurants and pre-packaged foods are more accessible today. Although such foods are fast and convenient they tend to be very high in fat and calories contributing to an excess caloric intake, causing weight gain (National Institute of Digestive, Diabetes and Kidney Disease, 2001). So people are not aware of the quality and quantity of the food, they will certainly end up in raising their weight. The psychological condition has great influences on some people to become obese especially those who suffer from certain emotional or stress problems, because their feelings influence their eating habits, causing them to overeat.

The use of one masculine rhyme in text depicts the persona of the poem which is man†, while the remaining feminine rhymes depict the addressee, which is â€Å"woman†. The connection of those two types of rhymes that were distinguished in the text is that, the â€Å"man†, w ho is in love with the addressee (woman), but the addressee know nothing about the man’s feeling towards her. The use of one consonance in the text, illustrates the volume of hardness of the feelings to the persona to express is least.
